Dr. Gerardo Navas

Dr. Navas received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from LSU in May of 2011 and graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2016. During his clinical year, Dr. Navas was awarded for excellence in internal medicine and surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association . His special interests include ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery and ultrasound. Dr. Navas was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He is currently learning French as one day he would like to spend lots of time in France and French Canada. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rebeca and their daughters, Valentina and Viviana. They also have two dogs, a Shih Tzu named Dooby and a Schnauzer named Vitto. Dr. Navas loves to play sports and follow his beloved LSU Tigers, but he also loves food and cooking shows! Him and his wife both aspire to be trained chefs at some point in their lives.
