Melissa joined Oyster Creek Animal Hospital in September 2023, bringing her passion for animal care and background in health, welfare, and education from The Texas Zoo. She holds a B.S. in Biology, which fuels her dedication to providing compassionate support to both pets and their owners.

Originally from Sugar Land, TX, Melissa shares her home with two adorable guinea pigs, Knox and Flapjack. In her free time, she enjoys reading, solving puzzles, building models, and playing video games. Her favorite animals are opossums and frogs, reflecting her love for unique and often overlooked creatures.

Melissa is inspired by the belief: “There is nothing more important than doing the work that you are meant to do in the world.”
